Bylong Church
This is the little church at Bylong. I have shown you it before but I thought it worth another shot. There is not a lot to Bylong. There was a cafe with many motorcycles parked out front as well. These roads seem very popular with bikers. I don't blame them. They are popular with me too.
Yes, I thought I had seen it before. But well worth another shot. I love little graveyards like this, that take us back through families and back closer to the original settlers.
There's a lot to like about this pic - the old gum tree - little knolly hill behind - wonderful old weathered gravestones and of course the church - I wonder if it's still in use - just a gorgeous setting. I remember the bikes at the cafe!
Tumbleweed It was August (known to be a windy month of the year) and it was blowing a gale. Tumbleweeds hurtled across our path, pressed forward by the busy wind. While I was photographing the tumbleweed, I braved the icy blast to find a few more tiny flowers and fruits by the roadside.
The Pinnacles, Broken Hill Clear blue sky is very dull! But there is something of interest in the image. These odd shaped mountains appear on the skyline just outside the city. I had planned otherwise for my closing sky today. On a hill outside town there are wonderful sandstone sculptures which I saw the last time I was here. I planned to photograph them against the setting sun but we left our run too late, so you don’t get to see them until our return journey.

It was the setting and the graveyard that made me think it worth another shot.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely worth another shot!
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful! You will not find cemeteries at church yards here.
