Place Holder

As it will be a while before we go wayfaring again I thought it would be nice to end with a typical country railway image to hold the space until we venture off again. In the meantime I am currently posting regularly over at Blue Mountains Journal .

Big Country

We are travelling on back through the big county.  One last shot tomorrow to bring this quick journey to an end.

Murray

We spent a couple of days beside the Murray River at Echucha before pressing on home.

Anotherie

I spotted this one at Daylesford.

Inland

Far too soon we found ourselves heading back into the inland and back home, passing through lush farming country dotted with dairy cows.  They also use a lot of cypress wind breaks in Victoria, more than I see in NSW.

Wildflowers

Sea shots

Vegetation

I was as smitten by the coastal vegetation as the views.  But first a few sea shots then some of the wildflowers.

12 Apostles

Here is the view you would all have expected knowing we are touring the Great Ocean Road.  It well over 30 years since we last drove down this way and the view has lost none of it's charm.  This part of the coast of great view after great view.

Great camp

We really liked this campsite at Princetown with its lovely rural outlook within hearing distance of the sea.  It's just a short distance to the famed 12 Apostles.

From above

The road runs long cliff edges warn by the pounding waves creating some pretty special views which I will show you soon, but we need to camp for the night first.
