Market City


We owned and lived in an apartment in that block towering over Market City.  On our way back from the visit with our cousin we decided to pop in for lunch and take a short trip down memory lane starting with familiar Asian smells (its in China Town) but I can't photograph those.

      Haymarket. On the edge of Chinatown and over the road from the Entertainment centre. Paddys market is on the ground level.

    I went to uni around the corner at UTS so this is memory lane for me too. And you're right, a China Town has a very distinctive smell.

Larras Lee

We passed through Bakers Swamp without noticing anything.  Then reached our last dot on the map for this trip - Larras Lee and saw this.  The roadside monument says: In Memory of  WILLIAM LEE  (1794 - 1870)  of "Larras Lake"  a pioneer of the sheep  and cattle industry  and first member for  Roxburgh under responsible  government (1856 - 1859).  This stone was erected  by his descendants.  --- 1938 --- This is a repost from a few days ago.
