Roadside grass


When I stop to take a photo I've always got my eye out for interesting roadside grass, seeds and flowers.

    Lovely :) Looks like the type of photo I'd find in a book illustrating a poem. A very poetic picture :)

    I share your affection for grass. Susan thinks it is curious that I like to take photos of dead grass. To each his own.

    Not your usual stuff, nevertheless very nice. I like the dof - this photo says AUTUMN to me. Somehow quiet and peaceful.

Larras Lee

We passed through Bakers Swamp without noticing anything.  Then reached our last dot on the map for this trip - Larras Lee and saw this.  The roadside monument says: In Memory of  WILLIAM LEE  (1794 - 1870)  of "Larras Lake"  a pioneer of the sheep  and cattle industry  and first member for  Roxburgh under responsible  government (1856 - 1859).  This stone was erected  by his descendants.  --- 1938 --- This is a repost from a few days ago. William was born of convict parents, living his childhood years around the Sydney region.
