Annoying

The yellow flowers on the roadside are canola. How annoying is that, when I wanted to see it in the field its flowers had all gone and yet in the wild they are still flowering weeks later.

Temperature 36C.

  1. I expect to see heat rising from the bitumen in front of that truck. Can smell the diesel from here.

  2. I wonder what that means?? Are they using something to make the harvest easier? I love seeing fields of this, the photo you had earlier was so amazingly beautiful. Nice follow-up.

  3. Even the truck seems to suffer from the heat ...

  4. harrumph! Canola that's been genetically modified to grow into bitumen, so that there'll be no sign of us after the big.... well the big whatever!

  6. harrumph! What a wonderful grumpy
    old man word.

Though I agree that Canola is naughty the way it so quickly escapes from the field to the wild. Makes a total joke of pretending that genetically modified crops can be quarantined and controlled.

The end

I retire from the workforce this week and to celebrate have decided to retire my current blogs and start afresh with a single consolidated blog - My Bright Field - to record the delights of my new life adventure.
If you are interested follow me over there.  I will still be Sweet Wayfaring and collecting Royal Hotels.  The delights I discover along the way will appear together with my gardens and towns where I live.
