Is that a Coolibah tree beside the abandoned house? Every Australian knows about Coolibah trees because the bush ballad Waltzing Matilda is nigh on our unoffical national anthem but most of us live nowhere near the inland where they grow. Once a jolly swagman camped by a billabong, Under the shade of a Coolibah tree, And he sang as he watched and waited till his billy boiled, You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me. Waltzing Matilda, Waltzing Matilda, You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me, And he sang as he watched and waited till his billy boiled You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me.
"To muse, to creep, to halt at will, to gaze ... such sweet wayfaring"
William Wordsworth
It always makes for great photos.
ReplyDeleteFantastic and mysterious! Love the composition.
ReplyDeleteWow - fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThose kinds of mists always make me feel like diving off the cliff into the soupiness.
Thanks guys. When I first started blogging way back in 2007 I used to go for a bush walk every morning (I was out of work at the time). Because it was an early morning walk there was a lot of mist and hence I have quite a lot of misty shots but this one was taken somewhat later in the day if I remember rightly.
