Greenie

We headed north through more incredibly green farming country with soft rolling hills.  Just outside Burra the hills are topped with wind turbines … Australia’s largest wind farm.  I counted 30 of them.

  3. Not sure how I feel about wind farms. I appreciate the energy they create and realise that my great-grandchildren will regard them as normal. However, they do blight the landscape.

Windy August

Tumbleweed It was August (known to be a windy month of the year) and it was blowing a gale.  Tumbleweeds hurtled across our path, pressed forward by the busy wind. While I was photographing the tumbleweed, I braved the icy blast to find a few more tiny flowers and fruits by the roadside.
