The visit to the seaside was just a day trip from Gympie where we spent the weekend with family members.  Gympie is a very hilly town.  A town with a long history of gold mining.

Apparently floods earlier in the year nearly reached the awning of this Royal Hotel.

  1. MMM ... a bit sanitised ... not many signs or chalkboards ... but lovely metal work in the hotel sign

  2. Interesting building and what a sky!

We were having a coffee at the bakery and I noticed a sign on a hotel saying it was a Cobb and Co coach stop.  That got me wondering if there was a hidden Royal Hotel in the town.  A quick google revealed not that hotel but this derelict one as the former Royal.
