Mudgee has the perfect profile for a tourist town -- wineries galore, fine food outlets, city facilities, attractive buildings and historic villages nearby all set in lush farmland.


  1. Beautiful picture. Mudgee's image sure has changed since I first visited this country town in the 50's way before wine was invented..... I was pleasantly surprised during in my recent visits.

We were having a coffee at the bakery and I noticed a sign on a hotel saying it was a Cobb and Co coach stop.  That got me wondering if there was a hidden Royal Hotel in the town.  A quick google revealed not that hotel but this derelict one as the former Royal.
