Burrendong Dam


Here we go, Lake Burrendong as it is today.  That's much better than the miserable 25% full puddle of a few years ago.

We also saw another town.  Visit Mumbil at 100 Towns.

    Again, very lush and the dam is so full.

    My memories of Lake Burrendong are from the late eighties, when I went to the Sport & Rec camp with my primary school. That was quite an adventure for a city kid!

    Very pretty. I love dams or lakes so calming and picturesque. Thanks for getting rid of WV many others are complaining about it too.

The end

I retire from the workforce this week and to celebrate have decided to retire my current blogs and start afresh with a single consolidated blog -  My Bright Field  - to record the delights of my new life adventure. Coolibah?

Is that a Coolibah tree beside the abandoned house? Every Australian knows about Coolibah trees because the bush ballad Waltzing Matilda is nigh on our unoffical national anthem but most of us live nowhere near the inland where they grow.
