Morton National Park


After lunch we took a drive into Morton National Park. Here the scenery is quite similar to the Blue Mountains. You can tell the photos were from last last year because it was an incredibly hot day and before the extensive rains we have experienced this year has started to fall.  The visibility was extremely poor due to smoke from bush fires.

    I could not have told that from looking at the photo, though. It could be mist for all I knew.

    I love shots of NSW like that. I nearly wrote Australia, but feel that sort of landscape is quintessential NSW GDR.

    Great shots. That is one heck of a cliff. I bet the water volume has increased this year.

The end

I retire from the workforce this week and to celebrate have decided to retire my current blogs and start afresh with a single consolidated blog -  My Bright Field  - to record the delights of my new life adventure. Is that a Coolibah tree beside the abandoned house? Every Australian knows about Coolibah trees because the bush ballad Waltzing Matilda is nigh on our unoffical national anthem but most of us live nowhere near the inland where they grow.
