Water Rising

Lake Windemere
Over the past couple of years I've been watching this scene change from dried out puddles to a lovely lake.  Check out how it looked from this spot 18 months ago.  Its water storage is now around 50%

  1. An excellent photo! This much depth and nice composition.

And now I am wondering why I read "Lady Windemere" at first glance ... who is Lady Windemere ... Lord Windemere ... have to google ...

  2. It's really filled up, hasn't it. And to think that's it's only 50% full. At a 100% those trees in the middle of the shot would be underwater.

  3. Martina, your memory is serving you well "Lady Windermere's Fan" a play written by Oscar Wilde.

Winam, perhaps it has never been full but it has certainly been higher ... the rim where it has been previously can be seen all around the edge. Quite a lot of the trees seem to be drowned again already.

The end

I retire from the workforce this week and to celebrate have decided to retire my current blogs and start afresh with a single consolidated blog - My Bright Field - to record the delights of my new life adventure.
If you are interested follow me over there.  I will still be Sweet Wayfaring and collecting Royal Hotels.  The delights I discover along the way will appear together with my gardens and towns where I live.
