Morton National Park

After lunch we took a drive into Morton National Park. Here the scenery is quite similar to the Blue Mountains. You can tell the photos were from last last year because it was an incredibly hot day and before the extensive rains we have experienced this year has started to fall.  The visibility was extremely poor due to smoke from bush fires.

  1. I could not have told that from looking at the photo, though. It could be mist for all I knew.

I love shots of NSW like that. I nearly wrote Australia, but feel that sort of landscape is quintessential NSW GDR.

  2. I also thought it was mist... It makes for a beautiful photo though.

  3. Great shots. That is one heck of a cliff. I bet the water volume has increased this year.

Gundagai exploring

We were having a coffee at the bakery and I noticed a sign on a hotel saying it was a Cobb and Co coach stop.  That got me wondering if there was a hidden Royal Hotel in the town.  A quick google revealed not that hotel but this derelict one as the former Royal.
