Animals in the City 4 of 5

There are rhinos all over the city at the moment.  As for sunrise this is the only sunrise I saw, working late most nights puts me even more than normal out of sorts with the early morning.

  1. Do you know what the rhinos are promoting if anything. If it were in Melbourne, it'd be to do with trams being as large as rhinos.

  2. I think they are promoting Taronga Zoo.

    1. Yes it is but I am not much in love with. Too plastic

  3. It's a jungle out there! :D)

    1. The city feels more like a jungle every time I visit.

  4. At night they come alive and romp through the city.

The filmy veil of greenness

We crossed the border into Victoria cruising down a lovely timbered road before breaking into the rich dairy country of Gippsland. It is wonderful to see the land green after more than 10 years of very dry weather. But most of the state of Victoria is still drought declared.

The Pasture by Robert Frost
"I'm going out to clean the pasture spring;
I'll only stop to rake the leaves away
(And wait to watch the water clear, I may):
I sha'n't be gone long. You come too.

I'm going out to fetch the little calf
That's standing by the mother. It's so young,
It totters when she licks it with her tongue.
I sha'n't be gone long. You come too."

The end

I retire from the workforce this week and to celebrate have decided to retire my current blogs and start afresh with a single consolidated blog - My Bright Field - to record the delights of my new life adventure.
If you are interested follow me over there.  I will still be Sweet Wayfaring and collecting Royal Hotels.  The delights I discover along the way will appear together with my gardens and towns where I live.
