Two utes

Cookamidgera turned out to be a little town (about 18 kms outside the big town of Parkes). Old cars go to die.  There was a church and quite a sizeable cluster of houses, every one of them seeming to have a collection of rusting vehicles.

  1. They once were Grand Dames ... I can envisage Ma and Pa all dresses up in Sunday Best sitting bolt upright in the front seat with kids galore piled into the back..

    1. Oh yes, kids in the back. That is something long gone.

  2. It is incredible the number of old rusting vehicles in this blog. Over here in super tidy Germany, I hardly see any.

  3. Great find. These trucks are fantastic!

We were having a coffee at the bakery and I noticed a sign on a hotel saying it was a Cobb and Co coach stop.  That got me wondering if there was a hidden Royal Hotel in the town.  A quick google revealed not that hotel but this derelict one as the former Royal.
