9 sticks

It's not a work of art.  Is the remnants of an old building.  By the way Windeyer was once a booming gold mining town.  There's not much left of it now.

  1. It DOES look cool!
Looks like the stilts for a Qlder house.

Ooo speaking of which - check this out:

  2. Someone should start again. It looks a nice spot.

  3. There are artworks reminiscent of this at the bottom of one of the escalators at the AG-NSW.

  4. Julie, yes it did remind me of artwork or an aboriginal site.

Letty, that stick shed is amazing. I would love to photograph it.

The filmy veil of greenness

We crossed the border into Victoria cruising down a lovely timbered road before breaking into the rich dairy country of Gippsland. It is wonderful to see the land green after more than 10 years of very dry weather. But most of the state of Victoria is still drought declared.

The Pasture by Robert Frost
"I'm going out to clean the pasture spring;
I'll only stop to rake the leaves away
(And wait to watch the water clear, I may):
I sha'n't be gone long. You come too.

I'm going out to fetch the little calf
That's standing by the mother. It's so young,
It totters when she licks it with her tongue.
I sha'n't be gone long. You come too."

The end

I retire from the workforce this week and to celebrate have decided to retire my current blogs and start afresh with a single consolidated blog - My Bright Field - to record the delights of my new life adventure.
If you are interested follow me over there.  I will still be Sweet Wayfaring and collecting Royal Hotels.  The delights I discover along the way will appear together with my gardens and towns where I live.
