Coffee break

We ended our tour of Carcoar with coffee and cake in a lovely cottage garden. That is the railway station that you can see in the distance.

  1. Looks like lots of lavender. I only developed an appreciation for lavender during my recent trip to France, buying a pot on my return.

That station reminds me of the station at the same town in the Hunter Valley - Denman - where I grew up.

  2. I like lavender too, hence my photo of today. I am thinking of extending the plantings in my garden.

  3. Beautifully done, JE. This is one of your best photos. I can just imagine your mood, especially with cake and coffee.

We were having a coffee at the bakery and I noticed a sign on a hotel saying it was a Cobb and Co coach stop.  That got me wondering if there was a hidden Royal Hotel in the town.  A quick google revealed not that hotel but this derelict one as the former Royal.
