Canola


Those mountains are Mount Kaputar National Park.  We are on our way out there, passing by canola fields, to see what the Sawn Rocks are all about.

    I was just looking on Poof this week at a couple of photos of Mt Kaputar.
    It's such a lovely sight when travelling along that road.

      Yes it is. It's been a long time since I have travelled the Newell so it was quite forgotten to me.

    Sawn Rocks is such a cool rock spot, and Mt Kaputar NP stunning! I wish I was there with you :D

    Canola fields are (IMO) essentially boring. Nothing can compare with a field of ready to strip wheat.

      I like ce it. and I loves fields of wheat. But one of the crops I really enjoy is peanuts which are planted in red soil which contrasts beautifully with the green and is usually planted in contours rather than dead flat country. It's been a long time since I was last in Qld during peanut season so have no photos of it.

      I really like the yellow blue combo. It works in the same way with gold n dry summer grass against blue mountains.
