The Archibald Prize is running at the moment but a bit too hectic to visit on a weekend so we headed for the emptiness of the galleries at the lower levels. Don't expect serious commentary, the simplicity of modern art puzzles me.
The Pinnacles, Broken Hill Clear blue sky is very dull! But there is something of interest in the image. These odd shaped mountains appear on the skyline just outside the city. I had planned otherwise for my closing sky today. On a hill outside town there are wonderful sandstone sculptures which I saw the last time I was here. I planned to photograph them against the setting sun but we left our run too late, so you don’t get to see them until our return journey.
The emptyness of galleries is all want while visiting a museum or an exhibition. Really nice series!
ReplyDeleteSorry I've not been commenting lately but a tendinitis (shoulder + elbow) is forcing me to stay away from the computer as much as possible - repeated movements of the arm is all I have to avoid...
