Evan's Crown

Our orginal plan for the day was to visit Evan's Crown Reserve where there are great grantite rocks but the we decided to just drive around because of the rain. We'll go back there one day when I am feeling energetic and walk up to the top.

  1. Reminds me of Easter Island to some strange extent ...

  2. mmmmm, I can see a tenuous connection. Saw a doco on Easter Island on the weekend, a fascinating story. It would be an interesting place to visit, especially with the camera.

  3. A camera can make the dullest of places interesting! It is all in the detail. I dont know about you, but I get to see so much more when I have a camera on my person.

  4. Yes I agree, a camera makes me stop and notice and as a result I get much more out of life's experiences.

As I am essentially a landscape photographer this is the case.
Though I suspect street photography has a way of making the photographer notice people more as well.

Not sure if I was at a party and snapping away whether I would enjoy it as much as just talking my head off.

  5. You just have to watch this video Das Rad, a short animation about the evolution of man from the rock's perspective.

  6. What sort of a rock is it that does not like moss or lichen!!

  7. I thought the moss would give you a smile.

The end

I retire from the workforce this week and to celebrate have decided to retire my current blogs and start afresh with a single consolidated blog - My Bright Field - to record the delights of my new life adventure.
If you are interested follow me over there.  I will still be Sweet Wayfaring and collecting Royal Hotels.  The delights I discover along the way will appear together with my gardens and towns where I live.
