Is that a Coolibah tree beside the abandoned house? Every Australian knows about Coolibah trees because the bush ballad Waltzing Matilda is nigh on our unoffical national anthem but most of us live nowhere near the inland where they grow. Once a jolly swagman camped by a billabong, Under the shade of a Coolibah tree, And he sang as he watched and waited till his billy boiled, You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me. Waltzing Matilda, Waltzing Matilda, You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me, And he sang as he watched and waited till his billy boiled You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me.
"To muse, to creep, to halt at will, to gaze ... such sweet wayfaring"
William Wordsworth
Delicate and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteCould do with a bit of cool today ... it's very hot.
DeleteIt is sublime tracery. I do not recall seeing this sort of frost shot from you before. Memory fails.
ReplyDeleteNo I think this is one I have not posted. A frosty morn provides so many shots it is hard to pick what to post. Also I find that sometimes things I rejected for the blog turn out to be quite pleasing when looking back some time later.
