Sea dreams

Yes I did enjoy this trip. And yes I am getting much more comfortable with salt water. We dreamt of returning soon and did a few weeks later.

But before that, it's time to check out what's been happening in the inland over at Blue Mountains Journal. I've decided to branch out to something quite new and post a series of B&W people shots.

  1. This takes my breath away, Joan.
The light and the shade ... and the air hole ... Ooo this is just wonderful.

Now I want to go to the beach myself ...

  2. As Julie said. Sea dream is really the appropriate title to this one ... huuuuuuu ... (that's my German sigh ;-))

  3. ah yes i can feel the cool sand and warm air as i look at it.

  4. Where's the pearl? :-)))
    Lovely clam pic.

  5. This is beautiful. I am enjoying the beauty of these photographs very much. Colours are fantistic... funny that :)

The filmy veil of greenness

We crossed the border into Victoria cruising down a lovely timbered road before breaking into the rich dairy country of Gippsland. It is wonderful to see the land green after more than 10 years of very dry weather. But most of the state of Victoria is still drought declared. Musing: The Pasture by Robert Frost "I'm going out to clean the pasture spring; I'll only stop to rake the leaves away (And wait to watch the water clear, I may): I sha'n't be gone long. You come too. I'm going out to fetch the little calf That's standing by the mother. It's so young, It totters when she licks it with her tongue. I sha'n't be gone long. You come too."

The end

I retire from the workforce this week and to celebrate have decided to retire my current blogs and start afresh with a single consolidated blog -  My Bright Field  - to record the delights of my new life adventure. If you are interested follow me over there.  I will still be Sweet Wayfaring and collecting Royal Hotels.  The delights I discover along the way will appear together with my gardens and towns where I live.

Royal Hotel - Grong Grong

But wait, no trip is complete until a Royal or two has been added to the collection.  This one is at Grong Grong.
